After 7 years of explosive growth, this state-of-the-art adult Level 1 Trauma Center (the only one in the region) and teaching hospital for The University of Texas in Austin is set to undergo a $280 million expansion to address the needs of the growing population. Plans include adding a third floor to one building and four additional floors atop the existing patient tower, bringing it to 12-stories. Additions to the campus include adding space for 150 beds, more than 160,000 SF of surgical, clinical, and outpatient space, a Neurosciences Center of Excellence, and a larger intensive care unit.

Project partners needed a manufacturer that could produce a large quantity of panels within a given period of time. Form quickly manufactured over 31,000 SF of its Skyline I product for the building’s new ventilated rain-screen system.They delivered them to Baker Triangle at their Richardson plant to be installed by KSC onto prefabricated wall sections. The sections will be delivered in pieces to the jobsite in Austin for an easier final installation.
